North Lancs & Fylde’s Senior Men’s County team take on Cumbria in their final match of Section 2 of this season’s BCGBA County Championship. After defeats against reigning County Champions Warwick & Worcester in their opening game and North Midlands last month, the team will be hoping to bounce back with a victory.
The home fixture is taking place at St Andrews Bowling Club, Abinger Street, Burnley, BB10 3ED. The match starts at 2pm. All spectators are welcome and bar/refreshments will be available.

The Grand Final of The £8000 Ribblesdale Classic 2025 & The £1350 Junior Ribblesdale Classic takes place at Ribblesdale Wanderers Sports Club in Clitheroe on Sunday 25th May Everyone is invited to one of the sports biggest events!
What a line up we have a 16 of the sports elite do battle for the £1600 first prize and £8000 in prize money! The players involved have won all the major events over the years, we also have a former champion in this event in the line up! We also have 8 juniors in action playing in front of the large crowd for a £400 first prize and £1350 in prize money. All looking to win the respective titles.
We will also be joined later in the day by former UK Championship and World Snooker Champion John Parrott MBE! John will be attending to see the top quality action, a big fan of our sport he will be around during the day to see who comes out as champion! We will also be auctioning off a cue signed by John on the day.
We also have a fantastic raffle with a range of prizes worth hundreds of pounds! Tickets are available all day! Prizes include a Bar-Be-Quick Oven/BBQ, Set of Drakes Pride Bowls of your choice, Drakes Pride Bowls Bag, Bottles of Wine from Whalley Wine Shop, a range of fantastic prizes also!
Phoenix Sport (Duncan Reeves) will also be in attendance as the bookmaker, as well as Blue Border Sports being the action live!
A competition programme draw for £50 cash is also taking place, this will be drawn on the day and anyone who has bought a programme throughout the event could win!
Well Bowled are in attendance with their pop up shop! A great opportunity to get some new bowls or equipment from them!

The sixth running of The Ribblesdale Classic gets underway next weekend as players from across the UK & IOM do battle for the respective titles. The action kicks off with a double header on the opening weekend as the qualifying action starts on Saturday 12th April 11am and continues on Sunday 13th April at 6pm. These are the first sessions of eight qualifying sessions to take place over April & May at Ribblesdale Wanderers Sports Club in Clitheroe.
This years competition is once again the largest of its kind. With an increased total prize money of £8000 and is the biggest of any competition with 128 entries. We are delighted to have the sports elite coming to the picturesque Ribble Valley for our event once again.
128 bowlers will do battle to try win the magnificent trophy and the first prize of £1600!!
Starting on Sunday 20th April at 2.45, The £1300 Junior Ribblesdale Classic gets underway showcasing the future of the sport. Battling it out over 2 qualifying sessions the 32 juniors are looking to win an impressive £400 first prize.
All juniors will receive merchandise from Drakes Pride. This will include a Drakes Pride Microfibre Towel, Cap, Stickers and Footer. Thanks go to Drakes Pride and Clitheroe Town Council for their support. The qualifiers will also get shirts for the finals day thanks to The Mel Evans MBE Foundation.
We have loads in store across April and May. As well as the top quality bowls action we have Bowland Brewery Towels for all competitors in The Ribblesdale Classic.
We also have a Bowland Brewery outdoor bar with range of their fantastic products for all to enjoy on Finals Day.
Why not get involved in The Ribblesdale Classic Predictor League. It’s simple each week pick two players per qualifying sessions and the more games they win the more points you get. There is also double points on Finals Day. It’s just £5 entry and a large entry so far sees a big prize pot. Whether you’re a fan or in the event why not have a go!
