THE £7100 RIBBLESDALE CLASSIC 2024 & THE £1000 JUNIOR RIBBLESDALE CLASSIC 2024 – Sunday 26th May

This Sunday 26th May, sees the Grand Final of The Ribblesdale Classic 2024 & The Junior Ribblesdale Classic 2024. 16 Finalists are doing battle for the new trophy and the £1400 first prize. Plus beforehand, 8 Juniors are doing battle for the trophy and £300 first prize. It’s sure to be a brilliant day!

The competitions started back in April with 128 Bowlers and 32 Juniors and we are down to the finals day, what a line up we have! It’s going to be a great day of entertainment as we showcase our sport. Some of the sports elite do battle as well as some of the best juniors in the sport. If you can make it it’s well worth a visit, set in the picturesque Ribble Valley, Ribblesdale Wanderers will be buzzing on Sunday afternoon and your support is needed!

The Ribblesdale Classic is currently has the largest prize money on offer for a competition with a 128 entries, The new Junior Ribblesdale Classic also boasts the largest prize money for a junior competition. We are delighted that Clitheroe Town Council are supporting our events and that both the British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA) and NLFCBA are attending and supporting our events too!

What’s happening during the day?

As well as the main event of bowls, we’ve got plenty to keep you entertained! We have the team at Well Bowled joining us all day selling bowls merchandise, we also might have some special guests joining us too! Also joining us will be many of our sponsors, partners and supporters.

Duncan Reeves will be in attendance doing the book for those wanting a bet. Bowls Buddies will also be joining us and you have a chance to win a set of Bowls Buddies with Target Wedge worth £99, with a competition on the cricket pitch. All money raised from this will go to one of our supporters and junior charity Dan’s Trust.

We have a brilliant referee overseeing everything as ‘Pinky’ Jon Edmondson will be wearing the black and white strips and keeping everything in order on the green!

We have an array of food and drink available, you’re sure to be catered for. We have a BBQ on during the afternoon as well as Pie and Peas, Sandwiches, Cake, Tea & Coffee. The bar is open all day with a great choice available including beer from our sponsors Bowland Brewery.

We also have a superb raffle with some great prizes including a Bar-Be-Quick Pizza Oven, Drakes Pride Bowls of your choice courtesy of our sponsors Drakes Pride, a Drakes Pride Bowls Bag, a host of bottles of wine & spirts. Plus we also have our £50 programme draw which every Programme has a unique number on which will be drawn on Finals Day.

Last years finals day was a great success and that was down to our brilliant supporters, we hope that you can make it once again! Your support determines the success of the day and your support is hugely appreciated!
